Ecstatic Ragas is a project that we have been working on all year 2024. It has been growing, maturing and evolving through this time. As the seasons change, on the first day of Autumn, a time of harvest, picking up ripe fruit from the trees, the time of abundance, I am delighted to announce the premiere of Ananda Flow’s album “Ecstatic Ragas – Music from the Stars” will take place on the 10th of October 2024.
The work we share on this album is inspired by the world music, very strongly influenced by classical Indian Ragas and mantras from different traditions. It is a blend of acoustic bansuri flute lyrical stories, tabla beats, harmonium backdrops and solos, guitar melodies, beefed up with digital sounds, loops and tracks.
Our last track that will be released on the day of the album premiere, Ang Sang Wahe Guru Flow, was recorded in collaboration with an amazing double bass player, Grzegorz Bernas. I am looking forward to sharing with you the sunny, warm vibration of that tune, bringing the vibe of Summer, chillout and joy.
